Αnna Kafetsi writes: "In Deletion, Costas Tsoclis' work from 1961, which was included in our exhibition Metamorphoses of the Modern. The Greek Experience (1992), we detected a distinct volition for the abrogation of the figurative function in the framework of the traditional picture, recognizing a zero point of painting. This volition constituted the starting point for the re-determination of the notion of art, both for the artist himself and for certain of his fellow artists from the socalled Sixties Generation, specifying the particular terms for the birth of post-war modernism.
